Places to Visit: Red Sea

We all need a little break away every once in a while. Some of us go for a relaxing beach holiday, some go for a cultural break, others need something more action-packed. However the Red Sea can satisfy all these needs.

Red Sea Sunset

Culture: Sphynx & Pyramids of Egypt

This is surely a must for all red sea holidays, visiting Cairo and the Egyptian wonders. There are a variety of ways of visiting the area but we would suggest going on an organised day trip to the capital to see the Pyramids, Sphynx, Museum and general Egyptian life.

Action: Snorkeling

No trip to the red sea would be complete without snorkeling in the red sea. What is nicer than swimming in the clean blue sea or lapping up the sun on the boat in the middle of the ocean.

Family: Glass Bottom Boat Trip

Don’t fancy getting in the water? No worries, why not go on a glass bottom boat and enjoy all the red sea has to offer, within the protection of the boat. Great for families or by yourself this hour long trip is very popular.

Adventure: Jeep Trip in the Desert

Fancy something a bit more thrilling? Why not take a Jeep ride through the Desert? There are a number of off-roading experiences such as 4×4 rides or quad bikes which also include a camel ride and a barbecue dinner at the end of the trip. A thrilling way to spend the day!

Relaxing: Star Gazing

How about something different for your holiday? Why not enjoy the Sharm el Sheikh night sky and go star gazing? There is a package which includes a camel ride, making Bedouin bread dinner and singing by the camp fire. Then you can look at the night sky and get explanations of the stars and galaxies. What a way to relax with friends and family.

There is a huge list of things you can do in the red sea but these are just a few. If you fancy going, you can enter this competition to win an all inclusive holiday to the Red Sea for 2 people! Go on, you need a break!

Have you ever been to the red sea? What would you advise doing when there? Let us know!
